Interesting opportunity for a big tonal shift
- South jungle shows up almost immediately after you meet The Captain
- Previous section (currently) revolved around pirates, had rambunctious goofy tone
- After a long stretch of being led to believe the captain is a total monster, your expectations are subverted when you meet him and discover he’s actually a pretty nice guy
- Entering the south jungle should make you begin to question him again: This dark, nasty, hostile place was something the captain dealt with seemingly without issue - just how strong IS this guy?
- The feeling continues as you enter the subsequent areas (volcanic well, ravine): The Captain already made it through here without any issue and was unfazed / unbothered - is he hiding something from you?
